* Recently, the press has labeled Helena Bonham Carter a home wrecker for breaking up Planet of the Apes director Tim Burton and his fiancee, Lisa Marie. This isn't the first time the woman has gotten most of the flack for foiling a relationship--think Penelope Cruz (she has been accused of setting her sights on Tom while he was still married to Nicole). So we asked Cosmo readers, when a couple splits due to third-party interference, is the other woman more at fault?

YES: the other woman is wrong

4% WOMEN

0% MEN

"If a woman knows a guy is in a serious relationship, then that should be her sign to back off. If she chooses to pursue the relationship, her selfishness will only result in other people getting hurt." --Erica, 21

"It is totally the other woman's fault. She realizes exactly what she is doing when she helps a guy cheat. The other woman has probably been cheated on in the past, and that's why she's out for revenge, committing the same dirty deed. But she should understand how the woman getting cheated on feels and cut out that kind of behavior!" --Holly, 21

"I feel that women hold 55 percent of the responsibility, and men hold 45 percent. It's just a cardinal rule for women not to flirt with someone else's man! Men are programmed to cheat anyway, and if a woman is helping him pursue that goal, it's more her fault than his." --Annie, 20
