2002 APR 16 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Optiscan Imaging Limited (OIL) today announced a $20 million commercialization and partnership agreement with internationally Pentax (also known as Asahi Optical Co. Ltd).
Over the next 18 months, Pentax and Optiscan will jointly develop a miniaturized, flexible endomicroscope for use in the diagnosis and management of diseases such as colon cancer, mouth and gastric cancer. Optiscan's technology enables the non-invasive examination of human cells without the need for biopsy.
