ECRM Imaging Systems, Tewkesbury manufacturer of platesetters, is entering battle with HighWater and Global Graphics through the launch of the violet laser Mako 2 platesetter.

According to ECRM, the Mako 2 embodies the reliability and low operating costs of its Mako imaging technology, with more than 10,000 installations worldwide.

Vice president of marketing Peter Wilkens says: "We wanted to offer our loyal customer base a way of moving into ctp production with a product that offers the high value for which ECRM is renowned.
