Miss World. Mr. Universe. The Westminster Dog Show. The Academy Awards.

Now that we've completed a full lap on the international show circuit-Frankfurt, Tokyo, Detroit and Geneva-and we've identified celebrities at each, we're taking it to the next level. With this issue we reveal what the AutoWeek editors think qualifies as the cream of the crop or the creme de la creme (or the hot wasabi as they might say in Japan...) of the show machines.

For more than a decade we have chosen international show winners in four categories: Most Fun, Most Significant, Best Concept and Best in Show. This year's winners from around the world are all worthy recipients (go to our website to view this year's winners). Selecting a pick of the litter is never fun or easy; for this lot it's perhaps doubly difficult.

But it must be done. So, without further ado, the envelope, please.

Most Fun. This was a close vote, but when the dangling chads were righted the Audi RS6 that debuted in Geneva came out on top. Let's see: a twin-turbo, 450-horse sedan or wagon that will suck the doors off of anything. If you can't call that fun, let's check your pulse. The RS6, which will run with the slickest sports car with a 4.5 standstill-to-60 time, will also run a pretty penny at close to $80,000. Who cares? The big question is, when will it make it to these shores? Well, the Audi U.S. folks tell us the RS6 goes into production next May and should make it stateside shortly thereafter, but only in sedan form.

Best Concept. These are clearly dream ...
