The island-state of Tuvalu has declared that the effects of climate change, particularly rising sea levels, are threatening its very existence. Koloa Talake, prime minister of the tiny South Pacific nation, warned that he was considering international legal action against large Australian companies with substantial greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
