David Grieves was named Engineer of the Year by the Albuquerque chapter of the New Mexico Society of Professional Engineers.

Grieves is a founder and chairman of the board of Chavez-Grieves Consulting Engineers. The company was founded 22 years ago, and Grieves has been a practicing structural engineer for 29 years.

He has been a project manager and structural engineer for military installations, research laboratories, computer processing centers, dormitories, private housing, administrative buildings, office and retail facilities, schools, hospitals and sports arenas.
