UNION, N.J. -- Bed Bath & Beyond may be on the verge of entering the health and beauty care consumables business. In a surprise move earlier this month, the big-box home goods retailer acquired 27-unit Harmon Discount, a cosmetics and HBC chain that does business in the area surrounding New York City, otherwise known as the greater tri-state market, which includes southern Connecticut and northern New Jersey.
