Bear Creek apartments bought by outside investors

A real estate investment company that is partially owned by a Milwaukee-area businessman last week completed an agreement to purchase 854 luxury apartments in Euless for $30 million.

Dan Gerken, who along with Josh Taxman of Boston owns Gerken-Taxman Investments Inc., said the firm purchased three apartment complexes in Bear Creek near the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport from Sunbelt Savings F.S.B., which foreclosed on the properties in 1989.

Gerken-Taxman purchased the adjacent 308-unit Enclave Apartments, 288-unit Fountain Wood Apartments and 258-unit Woodchase Apartments, Gerken said. …
