Unilever has kicked off a statutory review of its 147 million [pounds sterling] UK media business.
The bulk of the Unilever account is held by Initiative Media, with Carat working on media planning for Birds Eye Wall's.
Initiative's planning and buying activity is being audited by Media Insight ahead of a possible full review of the business. Unilever conducts a review of its media every three years with Initiative's contract running out this year.
MindShare, which won the US Unilever media account last year, would be expected to pitch against Initiative and Carat if a full review is called.
