Ogilvy & Mather has lost the insurance giant Royal & SunAlliance's 7 million [pounds sterling] More Th>n ad account.
The agency is understood to have repitched for the business last week, but has failed to prevent More Th>n appointing a rival, unnamed, agency.
Mike Tildesley, Royal & SunAlliance's marketing director, told Campaign: "There is an issue about the direction in which we are taking the advertising. We are parting company. O&M did a first class launch last year but sometimes there's a difference in direction."
