Dare replaces Beechler

* Airton Dare has become the benefactor of the concussion Donnie Beechler suffered in practice for the season-opening IRL race in Homestead. With Beechler held out of A.J. Foyt's car by the IRL's medical staff, Dare showed well at Homestead (running as high as second) to earn the ride for the rest of the season. Foyt has offered Beechler a ride at Indy. Also in the IRL, Shigeaki Hattori signed with Bradley Motorsports, which recently lost Buzz Calkins, a co-owner of the team, to retirement. Because Hattori brings equipment to the team, Bradley officials say they will continue to pursue possible deals with Greg Ray and Mark Dismore.
