Leeco Properties Inc. has brought another local shopping center under its umbrella.

Earlier this month, the Midland-based real-estate development firm closed on the purchase of Triangle Shopping Center -- a 140,000 square-foot shopping center located off of Pat Booker Road at Loop 1604 in Universal City. Leeco purchased the center from American Continental Holdings of New Jersey.

The center includes an 89,000-square-foot Wal-Mart store that has been vacant for about the last 10 years, says Bryan Ottmers, shareholder in NAI/Rohde, Ottmers & Siegel, which represented Leeco in the sale. It is an ideal site for a new Gattiland restaurant -- which Leeco will …
