2002 MAR 14 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Results of a pilot study published in the January 2002 issue of The Physician and Sportsmedicine conclude that the FemSoft Insert is an effective, safe, and comfortable treatment for women with exercise-induced incontinence.

The published report of the pilot study cites that as many as 28% of young female athletes have reported urine loss while participating in sports. It also notes that 20-40% of women with exercise-induced incontinence cope with leakage by ceasing to exercise. All women in the study had less urinary leakage while using the FemSoft Insert during their exercise activities. Median urine loss decreased from 20 g in women not wearing the device to 2.58 g in women wearing it. At the end of 3 months, satisfaction and comfort were rated high in surveys ...
