DaimlerChrysler's plan to revive the Maybach marque as an ultra-luxury brand above Mercedes-Benz is on track, with the sedan making its world premiere at the Geneva motor show. Arriving on the market this fall, the classic luxury marque returns after a 60-year hiatus.
As with the Zeppelin top-of-the-line model of 1930, the latest version gets V12 power. At Geneva, Maybach will reveal its Type 12 engine, a 5.5-liter twin-turbo-charged powerplant that produces 550 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque.
