2002 MAR 7 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The impact low sex drive has on intimate relationships is a topic of conversation among health care professionals - and among women themselves, especially on the Internet.
Now this issue is being addressed in a new online course at iVillage, which presents women's information on the Internet. Created in conjunction with Dr. Patti Britton, PhD, "Awaken Your Sexual Self: Six Weeks to Increase Your Sex Drive," is designed to help the 40% of women who experience sexual problems, the most common being lack of desire, according to a study reported in the Journal of American Medical Association.
"We constantly hear from women, whether married or single, who don't crave sex, don't know why and don't know what to do about it. In many cases, women blame themselves, their partners withdraw and the relationship suffers," Britton said.
Based on more than 20 years of counseling couples with sexual dysfunction, "Awaken Your Sexual Self" offers a new approach to increasing a woman's sex drive while also improving her relationships and self-image. By the end of the six weeks, women will learn what triggers desire, how to increase it and how to sustain it - at any age - for the rest of their lives.
