Great North Eastern Railways has ended a long search for a direct marketing agency with the appointment of Clark McKay & Walpole.

The train operator called a direct marketing pitch a year ago as it looked to build confidence and loyalty among travellers following the fatal Hatfield crash. However, the appointment was delayed as GNER faced other difficulties such as its ultimately failed bid to win the South West Trains franchise.
