Jason Dooris, the UK chief executive of MediaCom's digital operation, Media.com, has resigned to help launch a rival global network.
Dooris will work with Geoff Rapp, the former internet communications manager at Emirates Airlines -- a client of Media.com.
Rapp, who left the airline last summer, has been appointed global vice-president of the network, which is backed by a top-five traditional media agency.
Details of the new venture are still under wraps, but it will adopt a similar working relationship to that of Media.com and MediaCom, in that the digital arm will support the traditional media division by offering online planning and buying. The start-up will have clients in the automotive, IT, retail and finance sectors.
