World Bank, Asian Development Bank, other donors' aid misused in forest department.
KARACHI : The government agencies have unearthed massive irregularities involving millions of rupees in Khipro office, district Sanghar, Circle Hyderabad of Sindh Forest Department.
The funds reportedly embezzled are the grants and loans received by the department from the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, US Aid and Japan Aid for Sindh Forestry Development Project during 1990 to 2000.
The reported misappropriation of funds came to surface when the officials of then Army Monitoring Cell took note of the public complaints and probed the matter. The AMC had referred the matter to Regional Accountability Bureau, who assigned the Anti-Corruption officials for …
