Liposuction Rated As Most Popular Procedure For Second Year.(most popular cosmetic surgery)
2002 FEB 21 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- For the second year in a row, liposuction comes out on top as the most popular cosmetic surgery in the year 2001 with 814,080 surgeries performed - a rise of 21% from the 2000 figures, according to a report just released by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS).
Subsequent to liposuction, the most popular surgeries are eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) with 502,391, breast augmentation with 299,566 procedures and facelift with 246,814 procedures performed in the year 2001.
The top three most popular surgical procedures for women are:
