Mom, pop, son arrested over bid-rigging

Three executives of a construction company in Toyonaka, Osaka Prefecture, were arrested Friday on suspicion of being involved in bid-rigging related to a public works project funded by the Kansai branch of the Japan Highway Corporation (JH).
Arrested were: Hirokuni Sasabe, 62-year-old president of Hoei Sangyo, his wife Kazuko Sasabe, an executive of the company, and his son Yoshinori Sasabe, also an executive with the company.
