Addition of two 5th-grade classes

The Charleston County School District will finalize building plans today for District 10 in West Ashley.

After parent meetings, community input at board meetings and much discussion, the plan on the table isn't much different from what the school district brought to the board originally, but a little tweaking could change the final plan to appease some parents.

The school district has recommended that West Ashley's neighborhood elementary schools become kindergarten through fourth grade. Students would attend St. Andrew's Intermediate…
