Warner Strategic Marketing is spending more than 22,000 [pounds sterling] on a Valentine's Day promotion in the London Evening Standard.

The deal is part of a broader marketing strategy for two themed compilations; Love So Strong featuring Gordon Haskell, Madonna, Elton John and Uncle Kracker, and its new collection of Frank Sinatra love songs titled A Fine Romance.

The Evening Standard is running a competition on February 5 asking readers to vote for their favourite love song via email for a chance to win the albums. The results will be published in a feature on ideas for last minute Valentine's Day presents printed on February 12, with WSM the only advertiser.
