Amman, 30 December: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Muhammad Halayqah Monday [31 December] held talks with visiting Iraq's Oil Minister Amir Muhammad Rashid on bilateral oil links.

The two ministers expressed comfort over [the] renewal of [the] oil protocol 23 December, under which Baghdad will meet the kingdom's needs in crude oil and its derivatives, estimated at over 5m tonnes, in 2002.
