The Fiji Labour Party [FLP] yesterday condemned the move by the Prices and Incomes Board to increase the prices of flour and sharps [as received] in the country. A statement from FLP Principal Administrative Officer John Ali said the increase was another slap in the face for the poor in the community.

"The poor who make the bulk of our population will suffer the most. Under the Fiji Labour Party, with the policy of removal of VAT, the basic essential food items would still have been much cheaper," he said.
