MUMBAI, Dec. 28. IT was a birthday gift from Mr Dhirubhai Ambani to the children of Mumbai's Municipal schools. Mr Ambani who turns 69 on Friday presented them with a project that would provide free computer education to 68,000 students in 51 schools.

The project is the culmination of a promise made by Mr Ambani at a civic reception held in his honour in Mumbai last year. "We propose to cover the secondary school under this project, because the doors of our Municipal schools are open for every child. There is no waiting list. …
