New CAD System Launched To Aid Breast Cancer Diagnosis.(ISSI MammoReader CAD system to be distributed by Instrumentarium Imaging Inc.)
2002 FEB 14 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Instrumentarium Imaging announced the clearance by the FDA of the ISSI MammoReader CAD system. The MammoReader was developed by Intelligent Systems Software, Inc., and is distributed exclusively in the U.S. by Instrumentarium Imaging Inc.
The MammoReader is a high performance CAD system that has been developed to assist radiologists as they read mammograms. After digitizing the mammogram, the MammoReader analyzes the image and highlights areas that contain features associated with breast cancer. The highlighted areas are intended to help the radiologist review potential problem areas of the image.
