Quebec firm gets Canada Hush Puppies license

TORONTO (FNS) - Wolverine World Wide Inc., Rockford, Mich., is transferring the Hush Puppies brand license for Canada to a new footwear marketing company in Pointe Cire, Quebec.

Hush Puppies Canada Ltd. will market and distribute the line of men's and women's casual shoes and boots in Canada beginning Jan. 1, 1990. The license had been held by Greb Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, a wholly owned subsidiary of Taurus Footwear Inc., Montreal. Taurus bought Greb in 1987.
