The school district's investigation into the fund-raising contractor hired by suspended Superintendent Brad Allison will inquire into a successful effort to bring millions of new dollars into Albuquerque classrooms.
But it will also ask how the contract was awarded, why the Board of Education was not involved and why the Albuquerque Public Schools Foundation did not want Allison's fund-raiser as its next executive director.
The contractor, Funding Connection Inc. - paid $235,571 to date by Albuquerque Public Schools - says it has raised $10,900,700 since July 2000.
