Brad Allison didn't just burn his bridges, Albuquerque Board of Education members contend.

He charred them beyond recognition.

From nasty e-mails to standing up the entire board at a key evaluation meeting, the Albuquerque Public Schools superintendent's actions over the past five days "sealed his own fate," board member John Emery said.

The five-day timeline was a frenzied one for Allison, beginning with a job evaluation meeting last Thursday and ending with his discharge Monday evening. But rather than trying to save his job, he apparently further damaged relations with an angry board. …
