PPL and the Commercial Radio Companies' Association (CRCA) have avoided the prospect of further bitter wrangling by reaching a deal to update their eight-year-old copyright agreement.

The new two-year deal replaces 1993's contentious agreement, which required the Copyright Tribunal to agree the basis and level of payments after CRCA's forerunner, the Association of Independent Radio Contractors, complained that PPL would cripple some radio stations with the level of rates it wanted to ...
