Overview
The purpose of Get Smart About Drugs, Grades 7-9, is to help students develop awareness of the effects and dangers inherent in the use and abuse of drugs, and to help them build the skills they need to resist peer pressure to abuse drugs. These prevention skills include: critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, goal setting, refusal techniques, stress management, and assertiveness. Students will:
