Unit themes and activities support the objectives of the National Institute on Drug Abuse's Drug Prevention Principles for Children and Adolescents, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Guidelines for School Health Programs to Prevent Tobacco Use and Addiction, and other successful prevention programs.
