2002 JAN 30 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Avax Technologies, Inc., (AVXT) has been granted U.S. Patent No. 6,333,028 from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, titled "Composition and Method of Using Tumor Cells." The patent applies to the application of the company's proprietary AC vaccine technology to ovarian cancer.
O-Vax, an immunotherapy for the treatment of ovarian cancer, has been used to treat postsurgical stage III and stage IV ovarian cancer patients.
