Smith, Zachery released on bond.

Clemson offensive tackle Akil Smith and running back Travis Zachery were released on bond Wednesday, a day after they were arrested on drug charges.

Smith, 22, was released on $25,000 bond. The second-team All-ACC offensive tackle was charged with three counts of sale of marijuana and three counts of sale of marijuana within the proximity of school.

Robert Ariail, 13th Circuit Solicitor, said that Smith has gone through the pretrial intervention program for a prior charge, but could not immediately provide details on the offense.

Smith has one prior charge of simple possession of marijuana, which happened in 1998, according to the State Law …
