In the precarious world of filmmaking three young Halifax entrepreneurs are making a name for themselves and their films
On October 29, 1988, the streets of downtown Halifax, N.S. were clogged with spacemen, dinosaurs, witches, giant carrots and Elvis Presley. Nearly 40,000 costumed people flowed through the blocked-off promenade of Argyle Street. Mardi Gras, held the Saturday nearest to Halloween, is a Halifax tradition which draws party connoisseurs from as far as Boston and Toronto.
During the evening a seven-foot eyeball, bloodshot and staring, moved smoothly through the crowd. Part of the party, yes - but part of a film too, though nobody knew ...
