DECAL OF APPROVAL

In a cloud of dust, the 18-wheeler ground to a halt off her highway. The driver glared down at the patrolman who had pulled him over. It was inspection time. The officer ticked off each item on a 13-point list as he examined the truck for safety and equipment violations. Finally, after checking the driver's logbook and license, the officer smiled and slapped a decal on the truck's window. The decal would allow the truck fast passage through similar inspections for the next 90 days in all states except South Dakota and Hawaii, and in all Canadian provinces.
