A cluster of old houses in East Allen are the setting for a new business that has opened with an upscale hair, salon and will soon grow to include a full spa.

Set in three renovated bungalows that date to the 1920s, the Salon at Eaton Court takes up nearly a block in the growing Collin County city. The buildings, including a two-story Victorian that houses the salon, are connected by brick walkways.

The salon is a joint project of auto-dealer-turned-venture-capitalist Charles Carter and Kathleen Eaton, who built a loyal North Dallas clientele during her time at the nail salon in the former Grand Kempinski Hotel (now Hotel InterContinental) and at Plaza …
