Blair's Mission

Your articles "Onward, Christian Soldier" and "Back to the Future" (Europe, Dec. 3) were most welcome. Too much attention has been focused on America since September 11, and we in the international community did not know of Tony Blair's global vision or of Britain's past humanitarian efforts, both of which you highlighted so well. The British should be proud of their prime minister, especially in light of their current domestic problems. George W. Bush may be commander in chief of the military campaign in Afghanistan, but Blair is its evangelist in chief. The inexperienced Bush should be grateful for Blair's decisive new vision in foreign affairs ...
