Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of fundamental movement skills by children with learning disabilities (LD) six to eight years of age. The motor performance of 22 children with LD and 22 children without LD was assessed using the Test of Gross Motor Development (Ulrich, 1985). Standard scores for the Locomotor Skills and Object Control Skills subtests, as well as a Gross Motor Development Quotient, were determined for each child. Analyses of data revealed that the children with LD achieved significantly lower subtest scores and quotients as compared to the children without LD.
