As San Antonio prepares to host the ninth Sylvania Alamo Bowl, other games are ducking for cover from pundits who have less than glowing previews to offer.

Alamo Bowl officials have high hopes. But some of Texas other bowl games are taking direct hits. This is what CollegeFootballNews.com had to say Dec. 10 in ranking the bowl picture and offering its prognostications:
