Two D.C.-area companies are behind a multimillion-dollar ad campaign designed to help the nation's restaurant industry.

SMITH & HARROFF, a marketing shop in Alexandria, designed a print ad for the NATIONAL RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION. The ad, intended to lure people back into restaurants across the country despite the recession, carries the tagline: "Join us. Help America turn the tables."

McLean-based WIRTHLIN WORLDWIDE provided market research for the campaign.
