DaimlerChrysler nearly ended its long string of hits last year with a quartet of questionable concepts, but one from the group struck a chord: Crossfire.

Crossfire will rise from the concept car primordial goo and be the production-car star for DC in showrooms in 2003 as a 2004 model. It follows in the well-worn tread marks of predecessors like the original minivan, Dodge Viper, Chrysler Prowler and PT Cruiser. The production car will be at both Los Angeles and Detroit.
