San Antonio Spurs star forward Tim Duncan has been selected as one of the initial players who will be featured in a new line of officially licensed National, Basketball Association (NBA) action figures.

Todd McFarlane, the creator of "Spawn" and a Grammy-and Emmy-award winning producer and director, will launch the new product line in March 2002 through his McFarlane Toys. Duncan is one of the six players the company chose to immortalize as part of its initial rollout of NBA collectible figures.

McFarlane spokesman Ken Reinstein says including Duncan in the initial lineup of new action figures was easy.
