2001 DEC 26 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Aventis Pasteur MSD is recalling the hepatitis A vaccines VAQTA Paediatric and VAQTA Adult launched originally in 1997 and 1998, respectively.

VAQTA products are being withdrawn only because it is possible that some syringes containing individual doses may not provide adequate protection against infection. They are not being withdrawn because of concerns over the vaccines' safety.
