This week, Car Board comes to you from One AutoWeek Tower's new and improved locale. Fear not: The digs may be new, but we promise the same great taste you've come to love.
* Nissan XTERRA SE S/C
Price: $25,000 (est.)
Engine: 3.3-liter supercharged V6, 210 hp, 231 lb-ft
Curb weight: 3906 lbs
Drivetrain: rwd, five-speed manual
If you liked the Xterra when it debuted last year, you'll love the new model. If you hated the Xterra, well, maybe you won't hate it quite so much. Nissan hit a homerun when it rolled out the boxy-is-cool Xterra, particularly with the snowboarding/tongue-pierced/green-hair set (though the reason baffles many of us who think Xterra is no more useful or refined or ``hip'' than an old International). Now available with a supercharged 3.3-liter, the funky truck finally has the guts that befit its beefy image, with 40 more horses and 31 more lb-ft of torque than its non-blown compadre. It also gets a revised interior and a new front-end style with even more plastic than before (believe it or not).
