The calendar can help you engage students in activities that will expand their knowledge of Staying Healthy. Timely topics and activities are used to introduce concepts and teach corresponding skills. Although each unit is only a few pages long, your students can spend two to four weeks in lesson and enrichment activities. The calendar can serve as an instructional guide and can help you prepare lesson plans. Activities can contribute to a culminating school health fair.
Grouping: Unit and lesson openers in Staying Healthy are designed for whole-class instruction. Follow-up activities allow students to work together in small groups or independently.
