This girl has not had measles. She is getting a shot so that she never will have measles. The shot may hurt a little now. But getting a shot is better than being sick.

Seeing a Doctor

You should not be sick when you get a shot to fight disease. These shots are given by doctors and nurses during a checkup. A checkup is a visit to the doctor when you are well. The doctor checks to see how you are growing.
