Ah-choo! In the United States, children get between six and 10 colds a year.

Colds are caused by germs. So are many other illnesses. We can't see germs. They are very tiny. Germs can pass from a sick person to a well person. The germs can make the well person sick.

Stop Those Germs

You can keep germs from spreading. Follow these rules.

1. Wash your hands with soap and warm water. Keeping hands clean helps get rid of germs.

2. When you sneeze or cough, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue. Then ...
