A Special Girl

Tarah Lynne Schaffer is different from most kids her age. She is very small for a 9-year-old. She has a disease that keeps her bones from growing larger. She has to use a wheelchair to get around. Tarah is also different because she is on "Sesame Street" with Big Bird and Grover.

Inside, Tarah is like most kids. She is proud of her part on "Sesame Street." She gets upset when people stare at her. It hurts when they say she looks different.
