"Do you want clean, white teeth? Try our new toothpaste," one TV ad boasts. "It's the best!"
"No, it's not," another ad touts. "Our toothpaste is way stronger and works much better."
"Nonsense," still another ad seems to say. "Our toothpaste has a new ingredient that really works."
How can you tell which ad is most accurate in its claims? How can you sort the facts from the fantasy?

Learning more about the motivating forces behind advertisements can help make you a smarter, stronger consumer.
